EGSA Council meeting notes

MEETING

SOAR advisor meeting scheduled for Monday January 31st at 11am. Our SOAR advisor is Lee
Moranto. The four signers must attend the orientation meeting with advisor.

Next Grads/Faculty/Staff Forum:
The food ordered by Nacho for last forum seemed a better option than the lunch boxes. For
next forums, we will order from the "Party Platters" menu then.
We also decided to change the room from BE330 to E2-280. Cintia will check reservations.
Next forums on Winter are scheduled for: Feb/09, Feb/23 and Mar/9. Javier will try to get a
speaker by Friday, and if not he will let Sina know (so he can invite Don Wiberg). For the
other two forums we should get people from AMS and BioInformatics.

As for the company visits, Javier will draft the proposal. Cintia needs to get contacts from
Katia and JJ for network companies, and a list of students and abstracts for talks that would
be given on these companies.

President's homework: we need to think of a nice event to be held one a month (or maybe
twice) for Grads.
